September 21st

Today has been a long, long day. Dark clouds kept going over, some rain, some sprinkles, and we knew the house had a possiblity of arriving today. First, the barn roof came in, and we had to pop panel fences behind our house to get it open for them to be driven in, so they ended up putting it down at the burned lot in the meantime. Benny decided he wanted a little dog that was advertised in Abilene, needed a good home, so he went to see about the little dog. Just what I need, I know the Lord has a great sense of humor....yes, we are the caretakers of the critters, at least that is always my excuse, so he is playing his trump card. I need him here to make decisions, but just have to wait....Items are needed when they bring in the house yet....blocks, cement patio blocks, 2 x 8's, beams.....my nerves sre a wreck. Benny arrives back home with a new little bundle, a dapple doxie...never saw one like him before, his nose is at least a foot long...LOL, but he is cute. He decides to drive out to see where the house is situated, they told us it is now sitting in a bar ditch on the highway, waiting for permits to drive it onto the road, so I just begin to pray they will call soon. As we drive out to see the location, we are met by the movers...Yes, almost to our location...we rushed back home to make a call to have the barn roof which is still loaded on a trailer, to be moved out of the way. I wait breathlessly......after awhile, I see the real estate lady come by, wishing us good luck with our new home. Yes, I can see it coming down the road...now the scary part....James is on the roof with a chainsaw cutting limbs out of the way, lots of trucks involved,

And then they are under the wires.....praying hard here....

and then they are backing it into our lot.......

and praising the Good Lord for Blessings, it is now ready to be put on the lot..

And soon I will have to do this all over again, as we begin the move of the second house......
