November 20th

The Lord blessed us with a beautiful Saturday...temperature in the low 70's and just a little wind...today we do the underpinning on the house. Eric has come to help us, I don't know what I would do without him, but we help each other.

At first, I did not really like the color of the tin for the underpinning..I had chosen another color, but Benny picked this one, longer warranty on it...I do like it now, kind of grows on you...LOL

Dapper came along while I worked inside and he ran back and forth through the house, just having a great time, growling, turning round and round, and playing with his leash. He has the longest nose for a little dog...

I finally got the old pie safe moved, and got the roosters put up on the cupboards.

And my very favorite, the poster of Sebastion the Horse covers the door, and he is now at the head of the table...LOL

I love the look of the light shining through flavored oils and vinegars...

We now have the 220 line in for the dryer, the washer hook-ups are done, now I will have to save up to buy a new washer and dryer, but I am still decorating the walls with my pictures.

This is the pepper plant I bought last week...tried one of those little suckers and almost killed myself...my mouth burned for HOURS....never again...but I love the different colors of peppers and green leaves...

I now have a toilet in my bathroom...LOL..I have a pot, shower, vanity, the tile is all done on the floor. I love the pattern..got it at the $G for $10 a box...took 3 boxes, plus the floor glue and a two days for Eric to put it down. I saved all the little scraps and used them to line the kitchen sink cupboard floor where my pots will go.

Slowly, the house is beginning to take shape. It will be smaller than the one we live in now, but easier for us old folks to get around....it is hard walking upstairs, our knees creak, and we stumble around, but keeping these projects going keeps us young. We are still young at heart.
